Kellogg Company (Kellogg) together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of ready-to-eat cereal and convenience foods, such as cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, fruit snacks, frozen waffles and veggie foods. These products were, as of February 22, 2008, manufactured by Kellogg in 18 countries and marketed in more than 180 countries. Its cereal products are generally marketed under the Kellogg’s name, and are sold principally to the grocery trade through direct sales forces for resale to consumers. The Company uses broker and distribution arrangements for certain products. In January 2008, the Company announced that it has acquired The United Bakers Group, a cracker, biscuit and breakfast cereal producers. United Bakers' products are marketed primarily under the Yantar and Lyubyatovo brands.
