The Company is organized into three business segments: North American Retail division, North American Business Solutions division and International division. Its sales are processed through multiple channels, consisting of office supply stores, a contract sales force, Internet sites, direct marketing catalogs and call centers, all supported by its network of crossdocks, warehouses and delivery operations. During the fiscal year ended December 29, 2007 (fiscal 2007), the Company acquired Axidata, Inc., a Canada-based office products delivery company. In October 2006, Office Depot, Inc. acquired a majority stake in AsiaEC, a supplier of office products and services in China. During the fiscal year ended December 30, 2007, it acquired Allied Office Products in North America and Best Office in South Korea; increased its ownership interest to a majority stake in Office Depot Israel, and Papirius s.r.o
